THE HOBO THEATRE

ISN was treated to a puppet show by The Hobo Theatre. The dynamic duo entertained and delighted the children. The autumn story ‘The Three Wishes (Mitsu No Onegai)’ was about three acorn fairies who granted three wishes to a woodcutter who agreed not to cut down the oak tree.

ISNでは、今週ホウボウシアターを招いて、パペットショーの鑑賞を行いました。とてもダイナミックな音響とライトで子どもたちは大喜び！秋のお話、「三つの願い事」という３人のドングリの妖精さん達が、３つの願いを叶えてあげるから大切なナラの木を切らないでと木こりさんにお願いをするお話です。

UOI THE COLOR MONSTER

We read books about feelings and monsters! ‘The Colour Monster’ by Anna Llenas is about a confused monster with mixed up feelings. As he begins to identify each feeling one by one, he feels much better. He is yellow happy, blue sad, red angry, black afraid, green calm, and at the end of the story he is pink… IN LOVE! We made a silly witch face too for Halloween craft. Perhaps scary for some of us!

感情とモンスターのお話をクラスで紹介しました。Anna Llenasさんという方の’The Colour Monster’というタイトルの本です。複雑な感情で気持ちの整理のつかないモンスターの物語です。一つ一つの感情を確認し始めると、少しづつ気持ちが落ち着き始めます。モンスターは、黄色はハッピー、青は悲しみ、赤は怒り、緑は落着き、そして、お話の最後にはピンクが！LOVEです！クラフトでは、みんなのお顔をハロウィンの魔女にして楽しみました。 怖い顔の魔女もいるかも！？

MY ABC BOOK

Canyon has recently been interested in tracing, writing letters and numbers, so we made ‘My ABC’s Book’. We have been weaving phonics into our literacy lessons and building our vocabulary from A to Z. In this book, with crayons we try writing the letter with different colours – rainbow writing. It is good fun and good practice too.

キャニオでは、最近数字やABCをトレーシングしたり、書いたりして楽しむ子ども達の姿がたくさん見られるようになりました。そこで、クラスで、 ‘My ABC’s Book’を作りました。AからZまで、大文字と小文字をトレーシングし、またそのアルファベットから始まる単語を４つ学んでいきます。この本では、アルファベットをなぞる時には３色のクレヨンを使い、クラスではrainbow writingと呼んでいます！（７色は使いませんが）楽しく学ぶことができそうです！

CRISP AUTUMN AIR

We get to go to the park and play we did! We found pomegranates on the ground too and examined the seeds. Can we eat this? Sweet or sour? We wondered. Till next week, take care and have a great weekend!
