We are happy to be back! また元気に戻ってきました！
After a week of recovering from the flu, the Savanna class has returned full of energy and excitement, ready to pick up right where we left off. 学級閉鎖の期間にはご心配ご迷惑をおかけしました。1週間の体調不良から回復し、サバナクラスの子どもたちはパワー全開で、以前の学びに楽しく戻ってきました。
Before our short break, we had been learning about how living things grow and change when we take good care of them. The children shared how they take care of themselves and even created posters about healthy habits—simple actions that help us grow strong and stay well. お休み前は、「生き物はどのように育ち、どのように変化するのか」というテーマで学んでいました。自分たちはどうやって健康を守るのか、成長するために必要なことは何かを話し合い、子どもたちは健康に過ごすためのポスターも作りました。
This week, our young inquirers explored how insects grow and transform. We looked closely at the life cycles of some of their favorite insects and watched how nature changes through each stage. The children were truly fascinated—the moment they saw how metamorphosis works, the whole class burst into happy applause! It showed just how much they enjoyed the lesson and how confidently they remembered the stages: egg → larva → pupa → adult. 今週は 昆虫の成長 に焦点を当てました。子どもたちの大好きな昆虫の成長の過程を見ながら、自然の変化をじっくり観察しました。生き物の成長の仕組みを知った瞬間、クラス中が「わあ！」と拍手するほど大盛り上がり！
「卵 → 幼虫 → さなぎ → 成虫」という流れをしっかり覚え、とても楽しんで学ぶ姿が印象的でした。
Our little readers are also challenging themselves with longer sentences. Before diving into the book, we go over sight words and CVC words together. Many students now say reading is “easy,” and others say it’s “difficult but fun!” We’re excited to watch their confidence continue to grow. リーディングタイムでは、少し長い文にも挑戦しています。Sight Words や CVC words を復習してから本を読みます。「簡単！」「難しいけど楽しい！」という声もあり、どの子も自信をつけてきています。
