The Rainforest class embarked on another unique adventure this week by collaborating with a neighboring school. Previously, they had worked with elementary students on their inquiry about growth, and this week, they partnered with high school students who provided valuable assistance in answering questions related to their unit.

前回は、小学生と一緒に成長についての探究を行いましたが、今週は高校生と一緒に、私たちの単元に関連した質問の答えを手助けしてくれる貴重な体験をしました。

The class was warmly welcomed by the high school students and their wonderful teachers at Agatagaoka High School. They started with a delightful tour of the school, followed by spending time with the older students. Everyone introduced themselves and engaged in some reading and coloring activities together.

県ケ丘高校の先生と生徒さん達は、私たちを温かく迎えてくれました。小学校とは違う雰囲気の校内を通り、交流教室に入ると高校生のお兄さんお姉さんが、優しく子ども達を誘いながらグループ分けをしてくれました。自己紹介をしながら、一緒に名札を作り、絵本を読んでもらうと、そのお話の内容に対して子ども達に質問や話しの発展促し、そのことについて一緒に絵をかきました。

The highlight of the collaboration was the interview session, where the Rainforest students asked a series of questions to the high school students about growth. Both groups were inspired by each other during this collaboration, leaving them with joy in their hearts.

このコラボレーションの私たちの目的は、レインフォレストの子ども達が高校生にお兄さんお姉さんに「成長」についての質問を投げかけるインタビューです。お互いに刺激を受け、とても実のある時間を過ごしました。

The last and final open school day happened this week, too. Compared to the previous open day, this one was more relaxed and spontaneous. The teachers, students, and parents just had fun and showed everyone the results of their study and inquiry.

プレスクール最後の参観日がありました。前回の参観日に比べ、子ども達もリラックスをして取り組めていました。先生も子ども達も保護者の皆さんも、一緒に楽しみながら、レッスンや探究の成果を披露しました。

Time lies fast and our little inquirers are graduating soon. They can now write and spell, read and present, and think and voice out their opinion. It was such a lovely open day as the parents witnessed how much their little ones had grown up.

時が経つのは早いもので、私たちの小さな探究者たちはもうすぐ卒業します。彼らは今、字を書き、綴り、読み、発表し、考え、意見を述べることができます。保護者の皆さんに、子ども達の成長を見てもらうことができ、ステキな参観日になりました。
