What a week of adventure for our little explorers in Savanna!

This week was anything but ordinary for the curious minds of the Savanna Class—it was bursting with muddy feet, sunny skies, new friends, and unforgettable memories!

今週も、元気いっぱいにさまざまな体験を楽しみ、冒険と発見の連続だったサバンナさん達！
泥んこになって遊んだり、太陽の下で思いきり走ったり、新しいお友だちとのふれあいがあったりと、毎日が特別な思い出でいっぱいでした。
これらの経験を通して、子どもたちはまたひとつ大きく成長したように感じます。

Our adventurous little explorers took part in two exciting off-campus events: a Sweet Potato Planting trip and a Playdate in Gojo—and both were filled with wonder, laughter, and a whole lot of dirt (the fun kind!).

私たちが参加した2つの楽しい園外活動。
ひとつは「さつまいもの苗植え体験」、もうひとつは「五常でのお友だちとの交流会（プレイデート）」です。
どちらの活動も、子どもたちの好奇心や笑顔があふれる素敵なひとときとなりました。

🌱 Digging into Nature
As part of our beloved school tradition, our students rolled up their sleeves and got their hands into the soil, learning how sweet potatoes are planted. Beyond just planting, they learned valuable life lessons, like the hard work behind every meal we enjoy and why we should be thankful for our farmers. One curious question sparked a fun discovery: “Why are there poles around the field?” The answer? To keep deer out! The awe and excitement on their faces as they learned about real-life wildlife protection was priceless.

🌱 自然にふれよう！
毎年恒例となっているこの活動。袖をまくって土にふれ、さつまいもの苗を植える体験をさせていただきました。
ただ植えるだけでなく、「私たちの食事の裏にはたくさんの努力があること」や、「農家の方々への感謝の気持ち」など、食と命にまつわる大切な学びも得ることができました。

そんな中、ある子がふと「畑のまわりの棒はなに？」と質問。そこから、野生のシカから畑を守るためという話になり、子どもたちは実際の“野生動物との共存”について、目を輝かせながら学んでいました。
驚きと発見に満ちた、心に残る一日となりました。

Meanwhile, our friends in the Rainforest Class had their own muddy mission—rice planting! They happily waded into the paddies, giggling through the mud as they placed each seedling by hand. The whole experience was so heartwarming, it even caught the attention of two local newspapers: Shinmin Times and MG Press. Keep an eye out—we’re in the news!

🌾 一方その頃、レインフォレストクラスのお友だちは、別の「泥んこミッション」に挑戦していました。
それは…なんと田植え体験！

子どもたちは田んぼに足を踏み入れ、泥の感触を楽しみながら、ひとつひとつ手で苗を植えていきました。
笑顔と笑い声があふれる、心温まるひとときとなりました。

この貴重な体験の様子は、市民タイムズとMGプレスの2紙にも取り上げられました！

☀️ Sunshine and Smiles in Gojo
Next stop: GOJO ISN Elementary School! In a long-awaited playdate, the Savanna and Shooting Star classes reunited with their big friends in Gojo. It was a perfect day under the sun—bug hunting, butterfly chasing, and joyful bonding with their older “siblings” filled the air with laughter. The early timing didn’t matter one bit—it was just right.

☀️ 五常キャンパスでのキラキラ笑顔！
次の目的地は、ISN五常キャンパス！
待ちに待ったプレイデートでは、サバナクラスと南松本キャンパスのシューティングスタークラスの子どもたちが、五常のお兄さん・お姉さんたちと再会しました。

サッカーやジャングルジム、追いかけっこに虫探しと、青空の下でのびのびと遊びながら、まるで本当の兄弟のように心を通わせる姿が見られました。
朝早い出発でしたが、子どもたちにとってはそれすらもワクワクの一部。思い出に残る、最高の一日となりました。

While it was a bit more exhausting than our usual week, it was also ten times more exciting. Every moment out and about was a memory in the making.

忙しい一週間ではありましたが、それ以上にワクワクが何倍にもつまった特別な日々となりました。
泥んこの靴、輝く笑顔、園外で過ごしたひとつひとつの瞬間が、子どもたちにとって大切な思い出として心に刻まれました！
これからも、体験を通してたくさんの「学び」と「成長」が待っています🌾🦋🌞
