A WEEK FULL OF SMILES AND TEAMWORK- Shooting Star May 18th-22nd

Hi, everyone!

Here are some of the fun and meaningful activities our little ones enjoyed in class this week.

In our Unit of Inquiry, we talked about the roles and responsibilities within families. Our little ones worked on a “My Family Helping Book,” where they drew pictures showing how each family member helps one another. It was wonderful to see that, even at an early age, they already understand their roles at home and how they can help their families.

今週も、子どもたちはクラスで楽しい活動にたくさん取り組みました♪

UOIでは、「家族の中での役割や責任」について話しました。 “My Family Helping Book” の制作では、家族がお互いにどのように助け合っているのかを、絵に描いて表現しました。まだ小さい子どもたちですが、「おうちでこんなお手伝いをしているよ！」と、自分なりの役割をしっかり理解している姿が見られ、とても微笑ましかったです😊家族を思いやる気持ちや、助け合うことの大切さを感じられる素敵な活動となりました。

We also had a role-play activity where the children acted out different roles and responsibilities at home through the following scenarios:

Scenario 1: Toys are everywhere
Scenario 2: Mom is tired
Scenario 3: Your sibling is crying
Scenario 4: The table is messy after eating

The first group said that they would clean up the toys. The next group said that they would prepare lunch for their mom. The third group said that they would help their younger siblings and ask if they were okay, while the last group said that they would clean up and wipe the table.

It was wonderful to see them collaborating with their groupmates and thinking about what they would do in each situation. It was their first time doing this kind of activity, but they all did a great job!

また、初めてのロールプレイにも挑戦しました！
子どもたちは、あるシチュエーションが割り振られ、その場面でのお家での役割や責任について、グループで考えました。

こんなシチュエーションの時、みんなはどう行動する？お母さん、兄弟、私など、それぞれが役を決めて演じました。

・おもちゃが散らかっているとき
・お母さんが疲れているとき
・きょうだいが泣いているとき
・食事の後、テーブルが汚れているとき

「おもちゃを片付ける！」「お母さんにご飯を作ってあげる！」「大丈夫？って聞いてあげる！」「テーブルを拭く！」など、それぞれのグループでたくさんの素敵なアイデアが出てきました😊お友だちと協力しながら、「自分ならどうするかな？」と考える姿がとても印象的でした。初めての活動でしたが、みんなとても上手に取り組むことができました✨

This month’s highlight was our first bus trip! Everyone had so much fun playing at the park, seeing four airplanes up close, and having a picnic together. They were especially excited about their obentos and enjoyed eating outdoors with their friends. Thank you to our dear parents for preparing such yummy obentos!

今月のハイライトは、年中さんになって初めてのバストリップでした🚌✨

公園でたくさん遊んだり、間近で4機の飛行機を見たり、みんなでピクニックをしたりと、とても楽しい時間を過ごしました。特に子どもたちはお弁当の時間をとても楽しみにしていて、お友だちと一緒に外で食べる特別なランチに大喜びでした😊保護者の皆さま、美味しいお弁当のご準備をありがとうございました！

Rainy days won’t stop us from having fun and learning together! This week, we enjoyed some fun and energetic indoor games since we couldn’t go outside because of the weather. We played Musical Chairs and The Floor is Lava. Everyone had so much fun and cheered enthusiastically for their friends!

雨の日でも、みんなで楽しく学びながら元気いっぱい過ごしています☔✨雨で外遊びができなかった日には、室内で楽しいゲームをしました。「Musical Chairs（椅子取りゲーム）」や「The Floor is Lava（床は溶岩ゲーム）」では、子どもたちは大盛り上がり！

お友だちを一生懸命応援したり、ルールを守りながら楽しく参加したりする姿がたくさん見られました😊笑顔いっぱいの楽しい時間となりました♪
