CANYON: A Week of Learning, Exploration, and Fun! A WEEK OF LEARNING, EXPLORATION AND FUN! JUNE 1ST to JUNE 5TH!

This week was filled with exciting opportunities for learning, discovery, and play.

One of the highlights of the week was our visit to the park. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the outdoor environment, running freely, observing nature, and engaging in active play with their friends. The park provided a wonderful setting for the children to develop their gross motor skills, build confidence, and strengthen friendships through cooperative play and shared experiences.

今週も、子どもたちはさまざまな遊びや学びを通して、楽しく充実した時間を過ごしました。

今週の活動の中でも、子どもたちが特に楽しみにしていたのが公園へのお散歩です。公園では、友達と一緒に元気いっぱい走ったり遊んだりしながら、自然の中にある植物や虫などを見つけて観察する姿が見られました。戸外で思いきり体を動かすことで、体力や運動能力を育むとともに、自分で発見したり挑戦したりする中で自信を深める機会にもなりました。

また、友達と一緒に遊びながらアイデアを共有したり、助け合ったりする姿も多く見られ、楽しい経験を通して友情を深めることができました。

これからも、戸外での活動やさまざまな体験を通して、子どもたちの学びや成長を大切にしていきたいと思います。🌱☀️😊

We were also delighted to welcome our families during Open Day. Mummies and daddies had the opportunity to visit the classroom and see firsthand how their children learn, play, and are cared for at school. The children were excited to share their learning environment with their families, and it was wonderful to see the strong partnership between home and school being celebrated.

今週はオープンデーも行われ、多くの保護者の皆さまにご参加いただきました。

おうちの方には、子どもたちが園でどのように過ごし、学び、遊んでいるのかを実際に見ていただく機会となりました。子どもたちも、おうちの方に自分たちの教室や活動の様子を見てもらえることをとても楽しみにしており、嬉しそうに過ごす姿がたくさん見られました。

保護者の皆さまと子どもたちの笑顔あふれる時間となり、家庭と園が一緒に子どもたちの成長を支えていることを改めて感じることができた素敵な一日でした。ご参加いただき、ありがとうございました。😊✨

School yard play was another favourite activity this week. The children particularly enjoyed exploring and playing with mud, using their imaginations to create, mix, and experiment. Sensory play experiences such as these encourage creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration while allowing children to connect with the natural world.

今週も園庭遊びをたくさん楽しみました。特に子どもたちに人気だったのは泥遊びです。泥や水に触れながら、混ぜたり、形を作ったり、「お料理」や「工事」などに見立てたりして、それぞれの想像力を存分に発揮して遊んでいました。

このような感覚遊びは、子どもたちの創造力や探究心を育むだけでなく、「どうしたらできるかな？」と考える問題解決力や、友達と協力して遊ぶ力を育てる大切な経験にもなります。また、自然の素材に直接触れることで、身近な環境への興味や親しみを深める機会にもなりました。

これからも季節ならではの遊びを取り入れながら、子どもたちの豊かな学びや発見を大切にしていきたいと思います。🌿✨😊

As part of our ongoing exploration of the concept of “same,” the children participated in a straw-threading activity. Working in pairs, they carefully threaded matching straws, reinforcing their understanding of similarities while also strengthening their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. The activity also encouraged social development as the children communicated, shared materials, and worked cooperatively with their partners.

「同じ」という概念の探究の一環として、ストロー通しの活動を行いました。子どもたちはペアになり、同じ色や種類のストローを見つけながら、ひもに通していきました。

活動を通して、「同じものを見つける」という経験を楽しみながら、指先を使う力や手と目の協応動作、集中力を育むことができました。また、ペアの友達と相談したり、材料を共有したりしながら進めることで、コミュニケーション力や協力する力も養われました。

子どもたちは「これ同じだよ！」「次はこれを通そう！」などと声を掛け合いながら意欲的に取り組み、楽しみながら学びを深める姿が見られました。✨😊

Throughout the week, the children continued to build important life skills through a variety of classroom activities. We are proud of the enthusiasm, curiosity, and teamwork they demonstrated as they learned and played together.

今週も子どもたちは、さまざまな活動を通して生活に必要な大切な力を育んできました。

日々の遊びや学びの中で、新しいことに興味をもち、自分から挑戦しようとする姿や、友達と協力しながら活動を進める姿がたくさん見られました。子どもたちの意欲的な姿勢や豊かな好奇心、そして仲間と力を合わせて取り組む姿に、大きな成長を感じています。

これからも一人ひとりの「やってみたい！」という気持ちを大切にしながら、楽しく学び合える環境をつくっていきたいと思います。子どもたちの今後の成長もとても楽しみです。🌱✨😊

The children also enjoyed a fun session in the gym. During this activity, they practised balance, coordination, and body control by holding a ball between their feet and jumping with it. The children showed great determination as they tried to keep the ball in place while moving. This activity helped strengthen their gross motor skills, coordination, and perseverance while encouraging them to challenge themselves in a fun and supportive environment.

今週は体育館での活動も楽しみました。子どもたちは足でボールをはさみ、そのままジャンプをする運動に挑戦しました。

ボールを落とさないように意識しながら体を動かすことで、バランス感覚や身体のコントロール力、全身を協調して動かす力を育むことができました。最初は難しそうにしていた子どもたちも、何度も挑戦するうちに少しずつコツをつかみ、「できた！」と嬉しそうな表情を見せていました。

この活動を通して、運動能力を高めるだけでなく、あきらめずに挑戦し続ける気持ちや、自分の力を信じて取り組む姿勢も育まれました。友達と一緒に励まし合いながら楽しく活動する様子が印象的でした。
