We started our Line of Inquiry 2 by exploring how small creatures grow. For our activity, the students were divided into four groups and each group chose a small creature to investigate. They worked together to sort the stages of its life cycle and then confidently presented their work to the class. After the presentations, we watched educational videos about the life cycles of a butterfly, dragonfly, frog, and bee. The students then revisited their group activity to check and discuss their answers using what they had learned from the videos. Everyone showed great teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the lesson. こんにちは！今週のShooting Starクラスの様子をお届けします！UOIでは、LOI 2「小さな生き物はどのように成長するのか」の探究がスタートしました。4つのグループに分かれ、それぞれが一つの小さな生き物を選んで、その成長の順番（ライフサイクル）を考える活動に挑戦しました。グループのお友だちと相談しながら、「最初は卵かな？」「次はどうなるんだろう？」と話し合い、みんなで協力して順番を考えました😊その後は、ちょうちょ・トンボ・カエル・ハチの成長についての動画を見て学び、もう一度グループで答えを確認しました。「やっぱりこうだった！」「ここが違ったね！」と新しい発見を楽しみながら、理解を深めることができました。お友だちと協力して考えたり、自分の意見を伝えたりする姿がたくさん見られ、楽しみながら探究を進めることができました✨ これからもさまざまな小さな生き物の成長について学び、子どもたちの「知りたい！」を大切に育んでいきます🌱！
The students had a wonderful time creating their own pool toys using recycled plastic bottles. They used their creativity to decorate their toys with colorful designs, making each one unique and special. Everyone showed great enthusiasm and put a lot of effort into their work. It was wonderful to see their imagination shine as they proudly shared their finished creations.
プール遊びで使う、ペットボトルを使ったオリジナルのプールおもちゃ作りを楽しみました！🌈💦子どもたちは、お家から持ってきたペットボトルに思い思いの色や模様を描き、一人ひとり個性あふれる素敵なおもちゃを作りました😊「どんなデザインにしようかな？」「かっこよくしたい！」「穴はこことここにお願い♪」と楽しみながら取り組み、完成したおもちゃを嬉しそうに見せ合う姿もたくさん見られました✨
The students were excited to use the pool toys they had made themselves. They had so much fun playing in the water while testing their creations. It was rewarding to watch them enjoy something they had designed and decorated with their own creativity. The activity encouraged confidence and imaginative play while making wonderful summer memories. Great job, everyone!
そして早速、そのおもちゃを持ってプールへ！「できた！」「見て見て！」と、自分で作ったおもちゃを嬉しそうに使いながら、水遊びを思いきり満喫していました😊自分でデザインして作ったおもちゃだからこそ愛着もひとしおで、工夫しながら遊ぶ姿や、友だちと一緒に楽しむ姿がたくさん見られました。「自分で作る楽しさ」と「遊ぶ楽しさ」の両方を味わいながら、夏ならではの素敵な思い出を作ることができました✨
This week, we said goodbye to one of our little learners as she and her family begin a new journey in a new place. Although we will miss her bright smile and cheerful presence in our classroom, we are grateful for all the wonderful memories we shared together. We wish her and her family happiness, success, and exciting new adventures in this next chapter of their lives. Good luck, and remember that you will always be a part of our class family!
そして最後に、今まで一緒に過ごしてきたクラスのお友だちとのお別れがありました。新しい場所で新しい生活をスタートすることになり、みんなで「ありがとう」と「がんばってね！」の気持ちを込めて送り出しました😊いつも素敵な笑顔でクラスを明るくしてくれたお友だちとのお別れは寂しいですが、一緒に過ごした楽しい思い出は、子どもたちにとって大切な宝物です✨新しい場所でも、たくさんのお友だちと出会い、笑顔いっぱいの毎日を過ごせますように。Shooting Starクラスのみんなは、いつまでも応援しています！💛
