After a long holiday, it was wonderful to welcome the children back and see them settle back into school. With the summer heat still with us, we made the most of the sunny days by enjoying refreshing water play every day! 💦 It was a fun way to cool down, reconnect with friends, and enjoy learning through play. 🌈
We started our mornings with lots of water play, where the children splashed, poured, and explored together. One of their favorite activities was using the water wheel, watching the water flow and making it spin. These playful moments encouraged the children to interact, share, and enjoy being active together.
長い休暇を経て、子どもたちが戻ってきて、また学校生活に馴染んでいく姿を見ることができて、本当に嬉しかったです。まだ夏の暑さが続く中、私たちは晴れた日を最大限に活用し、毎日爽やかな水遊びを楽しみました！💦 これは、暑さをしのぎ、友達との絆を深め、遊びを通して学ぶ喜びを味わう、楽しい方法でした。🌈
毎朝、水遊びから一日を始め、子どもたちは一緒に水をはねさせたり、注いだり、探求したりしました。特に人気だったのは、水車を使って水が流れる様子を見たり、水車を回したりすることでした。こうした遊び心あふれる時間は、子どもたちが互いに交流し、分かち合い、一緒に体を動かす楽しさを実感するきっかけとなりました。
We also explored fruits through coloring and music for our monthly theme. The children talked about the fruits they liked and proudly practiced saying, “My favorite fruit is…!” 🍎🍌🍓 We also enjoyed doing the jumping and saying the name game, and we showed our favorite fruits in front of the class. It was a simple and fun way to build their vocabulary and confidence in expressing their choices.
今月のテーマとして、塗り絵や音楽を通じて果物についても学びました。子どもたちは好きな果物について話し合い、「私の好きな果物は…！」と誇らしげに練習していました。🍎🍌🍓 また、「ジャンプして名前を言うゲーム」も楽しみ、クラス全員の前で自分の好きな果物を披露しました。これは、語彙を増やし、自分の好みを表現する自信をつけるための、シンプルで楽しい方法でした。
We also had a special moment of discovery when we spotted a caterpillar outside the fence. The children watched with curiosity as it slowly moved and nibbled on the leaves. It was a little scary for some, but also fascinating to observe! 🐛
また、フェンスの外でイモムシを見つけたときは、特別な発見の瞬間でした。子どもたちは、イモムシがゆっくりと動き回り、葉っぱをかじっている様子を好奇心いっぱいに見つめていました。少し怖がっている子もいましたが、観察するのはとても興味深かったです！ 🐛
One of the highlights of our week was joining the Aurora and Rainbow classes for a special storytelling morning with our wonderful guest friends and their parents. Mr. Kenneth entertained us with The Very Hungry Caterpillar and two other lovely stories. 📚🐛 We also sang Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and Rain, Rain, Go Away while listening to the rain and thunder outside.
Although the rainy weather changed our plans to visit the park, it gave us a chance to enjoy some exciting indoor movement games instead! The children had fun playing Red Light, Green Light and learned to listen carefully and follow the rules. We then had an energetic animal walk race, moving like bears, alligators, and other animals. 🐻🐊
今週のハイライトの一つは、オーロラクラスとレインボークラスが合同で、素敵なゲストのお友達とそのご両親を招いて行った特別な読み聞かせの朝でした。ケネス先生が『はらぺこあおむし』と、他にも2つの素敵な物語を読んで、私たちを楽しませてくれました。📚🐛 また、外で降る雨や雷の音を聞きながら、「きらきら星」と「雨よ、降らないで」を歌いました。
雨天のため公園へ出かける予定は変更になりましたが、そのおかげで、代わりに屋内でワクワクする運動遊びを楽しむことができました！子どもたちは「赤信号、青信号」を楽しみながら、注意深く耳を傾け、ルールを守ることを学びました。その後、クマやワニなど、さまざまな動物の歩き方を真似て、元気いっぱいの「動物歩きレース」を行いました。🐻🐊
