Gym Open Day Fun! – Aurora (June 29- July 3)

Hello wonderful parents and friends,

This week, our class was filled with excitement as everyone looked forward to our Gym Open Day! The children were thrilled to welcome their parents to school and couldn’t wait to play and have fun together in the gym. Seeing their families at the gym made the children feel extra happy and excited throughout the day.

We began the session with a warm-up, and it was wonderful to see the children and their parents stretching together. Everyone joined in with big smiles as they followed the exercises and got their bodies ready for the fun activities ahead. It was a lovely way to start the morning and helped everyone feel energized.

After the warm-up, the children and their parents enjoyed a variety of games using balls. They rolled, passed, carried, and threw the balls while working together as a team. The children listened carefully to the instructions and eagerly participated in each activity. They were proud to show their parents what they have been learning during our gym lessons and were excited to complete each challenge together.

Throughout the session, the gym was filled with laughter, cheering, and happy smiles. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children and their parents to move, play, and encourage one another. Watching the children confidently participate and share such joyful moments with their families made the day truly special.

Thank you to all the parents who took the time to join us for our Gym Open Day. Your participation and encouragement made the experience even more meaningful for the children. We hope you enjoyed creating these wonderful memories together as much as we did!

A Wonderful Walk to the Park

After the rain, the weather became much cooler, so we took the opportunity to enjoy a stroll to the park. The children were excited to spend time outdoors and explore nature together.

As we walked along the road, our students demonstrated the IB Learner Profile attribute of being principled by following safety rules. They walked carefully, stayed with the group, and paid attention to the cars passing by. We were very proud of how responsibly they behaved throughout our walk.

At the park, the children had a wonderful time playing together. They enjoyed taking turns on the slide, running around, and chasing one another with big smiles on their faces.

On our way back to school, we stopped at the bridge to observe the flowing stream below. The children were excited to spot fish swimming in the water, as well as everyone’s favorite—crayfish! They carefully counted the fish they could see and used descriptive words such as big, small, and fast to talk about what they observed. They were fascinated by the living things around them and enjoyed taking a closer look at nature.

It was a relaxing and enjoyable outdoor experience that encouraged the children to appreciate the natural world while practicing observation, language, and counting skills.

It is wonderful to see our children so eager to learn each day. It is truly heartwarming to watch them actively participate in our daily inquiries and learning experiences with excitement and curiosity. Their enthusiasm for discovering new things and their willingness to engage in every activity make each day in the classroom a joy. We are so proud of how much they have grown and invite you to take a look at some of the wonderful moments from their learning journey.

Fascination with nature
An earthworm we discovered in the sandpit quickly became the biggest topic of the day! The children gathered around with great curiosity, asking lots of thoughtful questions and eagerly sharing their ideas and observations. Their excitement reminded us that even the smallest discoveries can inspire meaningful learning.

Our class has developed a genuine love for nature, so even tiny creatures capture everyone’s attention. These everyday moments often become the starting point for our inquiries, encouraging the children to observe closely, ask questions, think critically, and learn more about the world around them. It is wonderful to see how their natural curiosity leads to rich and engaging learning experiences.

We truly appreciate your continued support and look forward to sharing more exciting learning experiences with you. Have a wonderful weekend!
