As we come to the end of our second unit, Teamwork, we are also wrapping up our inquiry into plants! 第2ユニット「Teamwork（チームワーク）」もいよいよ終わりを迎え、Rainforestクラスでは植物についての探究もまとめの時期となりました。
As part of our learning, the Rainforest children took on a special project: growing their own bitter gourd. 🌱 From the beginning, they inquired into what plants need to grow healthy and strong. How much water do they need? Why is sunlight important? What can we do to take good care of them? 今回の植物の探究では、クラスのプロジェクトとしてゴーヤ栽培に挑戦しました！🌱
「植物が元気に育つためには何が必要？」「どのくらい水をあげたらいいの？」「太陽の光はどうして大切なの？」など、子どもたちはさまざまな疑問を持ちながら、植物の成長に必要なことを探究していきました。
The children worked together and took turns watering the plants each day, checking on their growth, and making sure they received enough sunlight. Little by little, they watched their plants change—from tiny seedlings into growing vines, and eventually, bitter gourds ready to harvest! 毎日の水やりも、みんなで順番に担当しました。十分に日光が当たっているかを確認したり、少しずつ大きくなっていく様子を観察したりしながら、みんなで大切に育ててきました。そして、小さな苗からつるが伸び、ついに立派なゴーヤを収穫することができました！
All their patience and care finally paid off when it was time to harvest. And what better way to celebrate than with a bitter gourd pizza party! 🍕🌿 みんなの頑張りが実った収穫の日。その喜びをお祝いするために、収穫したゴーヤを使って**「ゴーヤピザパーティー」**を楽しみました！🍕🌿
But the pizza was not the most important part of this experience. The real learning was in the process. From planting the seeds to harvesting the fruits, the children experienced firsthand that growing something takes time, responsibility, patience, and teamwork. でも、今回の学びで一番大切だったのは、出来上がったピザではなく、そこにたどり着くまでのプロセスです。
種を植えるところから収穫まで、子どもたちは植物を育てるには時間や責任、根気、そして仲間との協力が必要であることを実際の経験を通して学びました。
Through this inquiry, Rainforest developed a deeper connection with nature and discovered that when we take care of the natural world around us, it gives something back to us in return. What started with a tiny seed grew into much more than a plant—it became an experience filled with teamwork, care, and appreciation for nature. 🌱💚 今回の探究を通して、Rainforestの子どもたちは自然をより身近に感じ、自然を大切にすることで、自然も私たちにたくさんの恵みを返してくれることに気づくことができました。
小さな種から始まったこのプロジェクト。育ったのはゴーヤだけではありません。子どもたちのチームワークや思いやり、そして自然への感謝の気持ちも一緒に大きく育ちました。

This time, we’re stepping into the wonderful world of Stories! 次にRainforestクラスが探究するテーマは、**「Stories（物語）」**です！
Rainforest has already had its first exciting provocation, and something interesting has begun to unfold in our classroom. What happened? What did the children discover? And where will their inquiry take them next? すでに新しいユニットのProvocation（導入活動）が始まり、子どもたちの中からさまざまな気づきや疑問が生まれています。いったい何が起こったのでしょう？そして、これからどんな探究につながっていくのでしょうか？
We’ll keep that part of the story a little secret for now! 今はまだ、少しだけ秘密です！🤭
