Exploring Different Feelings in the Same Situation- Aurora(October 26-30)

Hello dear parents and friends!

Another week of exploring our feelings! This week, we continued our Unit of Inquiry by discovering that people can have different feelings about the same situation.

We began by reviewing our feelings vocabulary and looking at different everyday situations. We invited our learners to think about each situation and share how they might feel.

For example, we asked, “How would you feel if it were raining outside?” Some learners shared, “I feel sad because I can’t play outside!” and “I will get wet!” Meanwhile, others responded, “I feel happy because I can play in the rain!”

We also explored another situation: “How would you feel when you see a big and tall slide at the park?” Some learners said, “I’m sad because I don’t want to slide. It’s so long!” Others shared, “I feel scared because it’s so high!” while some excitedly said, “I’m happy because I love sliding on a long slide!”

Through these discussions, our learners discovered that even when people experience the same situation, they may have different feelings and reactions. We emphasized that there is no right or wrong feeling. It is perfectly okay to feel differently from others.

As we continued exploring more situations, we encouraged our little learners to listen to their friends’ ideas, understand different perspectives, and respect one another’s feelings.

What an important learning experience! We are learning that understanding our own feelings is important, but understanding and respecting how others feel is important.

A Spooktacular Halloween Party!

We had our Halloween Party in the gym, and it was filled with all kinds of wonderful and spooky characters! Our little learners, along with their parents and teachers, looked fantastic in their favorite character costumes. The gym was full of colorful costumes, big smiles, and lots of Halloween excitement!

We kicked off the celebration by dancing to our favorite Halloween song. Everyone enjoyed moving to the music and showing off their wonderful costumes. After the opening dance, it was time for some exciting Halloween games! Our learners eagerly participated in each game corner, showing great enthusiasm and having lots of fun along the way.

They also enjoyed collecting stamps on their stamp cards after completing each game corner. It was lovely to see their excitement as they proudly checked their cards and looked forward to the next activity. There was so much laughter, cheering, and happy energy throughout the celebration!

To wrap up our spooktacular party, everyone received a special Halloween treat bag to take home. Our little learners went home with big smiles and wonderful memories of the day’s celebration!

A big thank-you to all the parents and teachers who helped make this Halloween party so special. Your participation, creativity, and support made the celebration even more memorable!

As the weather is getting colder, please take good care of yourselves and stay warm and healthy. Have a relaxing weekend, get plenty of rest, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next week!

Have a wonderful weekend! 🎃
