Hello again everyone! I am happy to be back and working with Grade 2 again! I was treated to a very nice welcome on the blackboard when I came back:

We’re wrapping up UOI 1 and going over what we’ve learned about families and communities. Our last project was to create our own, group-designed communities and maps. Students got together, decided what they wanted to be in their group’s community, and drew out a map of their community. Everyone did an excellent job of working together!

In other class news, we have a fancy new class-specific camera!

(The students were hard at work on their journals, so I didn’t want to interrupt them to show off the new toy!)
