“Welcome to our grade 1 Inquiry Fair!”

Hello, I hope that you have been keeping cool. Temperatures have been rising, but that has not stopped the students bounce and preparation for our Inquiry Fair. We had a good time presenting our work for you and we hope that you did as well. We are also looking forward to the upcoming summer school, but we just want to have fun and meet new people.

We completed our display boards, and presentations for the inquiry fair this week. The students practised quite long and hard which is worth praising. We also prepared some free goodies from the plants that we learned, for you to enjoy and we hope that you enjoy.

We also had our first Inquiry Fair of grade 1, and the students did really well to present their work for unit 2. The students worked on their posters and presentations, and they deserve massive credit for the work that they’ve done so. The students also enjoyed giving visitors tea, pencils and other free gifts. The students also showed off their morning glory plants and how they have grown.

Last week, grade 1 had their first sex education class with our school nurse class. Grade 1 also focused on how to take care of their bodies. This included things like how to keep clean. They also focused on protecting their bodies and keeping themselves safe.

It is always great to have our school senior students working with our younger grade students, and as a way for the younger students to follow the senior students. This is also a great exchange for our senior students, as this can act as way of encouragement for the older students to be good examples.

Summer school is here, and all we want to do is have a good time. We will also have a few new students as guests to our school, so lets welcome them warmly and make sure they have a nice, short period with us. We will have summer school bog posts as well, so please look out for those coming up soon. See you soon, and take care!
