Hello April, hello everyone, and a big HELLO to Shooting Star students! Welcome to our first weekly blog for this school year. Let me take you to the happenings of the first week of school.🤗

Shooting Star students started their day playing with the set of toys they have in the class. They enjoyed playing in the food shop, car track play, and making various things with legos.🍎🛣🚘

4月、皆さん、そしてシューティング・スターの皆さん、こんにちは！今年度最初のブログへようこそ。進級して初めてクラスで過ごした1週間の出来事をご紹介します🤗。

Shooting Starの子どもたちは、目新しいおもちゃで遊ぶことから一日をスタートしました。食べ物屋さんで遊んだり、車のトラックで遊んだり、レゴでいろいろなものを作ったりして楽しんでいました🛣🚘。

To officially welcome them to their new class, we created a shooting star craft which made them very excited. This is also a good chance to assess their fine motor skills because they drew and cut out a star. We talked about how to use scissors properly and safely before asking them to cut the star for safety purposes.🌟

Then, they learned how to unpack their stuff and how to keep their belongings organized as Shooting Star students. We also talked about how to play outside nicely and safely. They were also reminded that in Shooting Star they should try to speak English more than before. So far, they are getting used to their new routines in the class and surprisingly doing a good job.🤩

Singing and dancing is very beneficial for kids. Children learn new things, like sounds, words and patterns through music. With dance, they can explore and control their body movements. Music and movement promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. It improves gross motor skills, coordination, and balance. Singing and dancing together help children feel connected to others and develop a sense of belonging. Now they started learning new songs and dances during our morning and afternoon circle time. 新しいクラスへの進級を祝って、流れ星のクラフトを作りました。星を描いて切り抜くので、手先の器用さを評価する良い機会でもあります。安全のために星を切ってもらう前に、ハサミの正しい安全な使い方について話しました🌟。

その後、荷物の整理整頓の仕方を学びました。また、外で安全に遊ぶ方法についても話しました。また、Shooting Starでは、以前よりも英語を話すようにすることも伝えました。今のところ、Shootingさんたちはクラスでの新しいルーティンに慣れ、驚くほどよく頑張っています！

歌ったり踊ったりすることは、子どもたちにとってとても有益です。子どもたちは音楽を通して、音、言葉、パターンなど新しいことを学びます。ダンスでは、体の動きを探求し、コントロールすることができます。音楽と運動は、身体的、社会的、感情的、認知的発達を促進します。粗大運動能力、協調性、バランス感覚が向上します。一緒に歌ったり踊ったりすることで、子どもたちはお友達とのつながりを感じ、安心感を育むことができます。現在、Shootingさんたちは午前と午後のサークルタイムで新しい歌や踊りを楽しんでいます。以下のリンクをクリックしてご覧ください。

We ended the week with a very fun game which is called Musical Chairs. Musical chairs, beyond being a fun game, offers benefits like improved listening skills, quick reflexes, and promotes social skills, teamwork, and self-regulation. At the end, everyone got a prize which is an origami paper and enjoyed making something with it after their naptime.😍

この週の最後は、「ミュージカル・チェアーズ」と呼ばれる、とても楽しいゲームで締めくくりました。イス取りゲームには、楽しいだけでなく、聞く力の向上、反射神経の速さ、社会性、チームワーク、自己規制の促進などの利点があります。最後には、みんなに折り紙がプレゼントされ、お昼寝の後に折り紙で何かを作って楽しみました😍。
