UOI: Sharing Our Message
This week, we brought our Unit of Inquiry to a close by thinking about how we can take action to care for the Earth. After reflecting on everything we have learned about the 3Rs, pollution, and protecting the environment, the students decided on messages they wanted to share with others. They created colourful “Save the Planet” posters with ideas such as “Save the Fish,” “Turn Off the Water,” “Recycle,” and “Save the Planet.”
Once the posters were finished, we walked around the school together and displayed them in different areas so that students, teachers, and families could see them. The children were excited to know that their work could help encourage others to make small choices that protect our environment. It was a wonderful way to finish the unit by taking meaningful action and sharing their learning with the wider school community.
今週は、Unit of Inquiryの締めくくりとして、「地球を守るために自分たちにできること」について考えました。3Rや汚染、環境を守ることについて学んできたことを振り返り、それぞれが伝えたいメッセージを考えて「Save the Planet(地球を守ろう)」ポスターを作りました。
「魚を守ろう」「水を大切に使おう」「リサイクルしよう」「地球を守ろう」など、一人ひとりが思いを込めてポスターを完成させました。その後、みんなで校内を回り、たくさんの人に見てもらえるようにポスターを掲示しました。自分たちの学びを学校のみんなに伝え、環境を大切にする気持ちを広げることができた、とても良い締めくくりとなりました。
Special Japanese Lesson
This week, the students also enjoyed a special Japanese lesson where they worked in teams to create informative posters about our new beetles. Before they began, each group discussed how to divide the different jobs, deciding who would cut, paste, write, decorate, and present. The students showed excellent teamwork and communication as everyone contributed to the project. Once the posters were finished, they proudly displayed them above the beetle enclosure so that everyone in the school can learn more about our new classroom visitors.
今週は、特別な日本語レッスンで、新しく仲間入りしたカブトムシについて紹介するポスター作りを行いました。子どもたちはチームごとに、「切る人」「貼る人」「書く人」「飾る人」「発表する人」などの役割を話し合って決め、協力しながら制作を進めました。友だちと相談しながら一つの作品を完成させる中で、チームワークやコミュニケーション力を発揮する姿がたくさん見られました。完成したポスターは、みんなが見られるようにカブトムシのケースの上に飾りました。
