This week, we moved into the Going Further stage of our inquiry. We revisited all of the wonderful questions submitted by our parents and worked together to answer them using the knowledge we have gained throughout our Healthy Food unit. Students searched for information, conducted research, asked others for ideas, read books, and used what they had already learned to develop their own answers. It was exciting to see them think like detectives as they investigated real-world questions and applied their learning in meaningful ways.

今週は、探究学習の「Going Further（さらに探究する）」の段階に入りました。保護者の皆さまからいただいたたくさんの質問を見返し、これまで学んできた知識を使って答えを考えました。子どもたちは、本で調べたり、人に質問したり、自分たちの知っていることを活かしたりしながら、一つひとつの疑問に取り組みました。まるで探偵のように情報を集め、実際の生活につながる問いを解決することで、食べ物についての学びをより深めることができました。

We also celebrated Tanabata (Star Festival). Before making our wishes, we learned about the traditional story of Orihime and Hikoboshi and explored the meaning behind the festival. After listening to the story, each student wrote their own wish on a colorful paper strip to celebrate this special Japanese tradition.

また、七夕についても学びました。最初に織姫と彦星の伝説を聞き、七夕の由来や意味について学びました。その後、一人ひとりが短冊に願いごとを書き、日本の伝統行事を楽しみました

In addition, we had a wonderful visit from our friends at the Nagano campus for a combined lesson. Our activity focused on the theme of teamwork, with elementary and preschool students working together to build the tallest tower they could. Through this hands-on challenge, we encouraged students to communicate, cooperate, share ideas, and support one another. This activity also served as a provocation for our Milky Way class as they begin their new unit, helping them experience the importance of teamwork through play and collaboration.

さらに、長野キャンパスのお友達が来校し、合同レッスンを行いました。今回のテーマは「チームワーク」で、幼児クラスと小学生が一緒のグループになり、協力してできるだけ高いタワーを作る活動に挑戦しました。この活動を通して、協力することや話し合うこと、お互いを助け合うことの大切さを体験しました。また、この活動はMilky Wayクラスの新しいユニットの導入（プロボケーション）にもなり、これからの学びにつながる良いスタートとなりました。
