Savanna: Bus Trip! November 25-29

This week’s highlight was our Apple Picking bus trip! Thank you dear Parents for taking your precious time off to be with us. Another class from Minami Campus, Shooting Star joined us too. Before our field trip, Savanna had some wonderings about the apple orchard. Savanna: What if the apple tree is too high? Sit on Daddy’s shoulders? The apples are red… yellow… green! How do we pick the good apples?

From Mrs Farmer, we learned that the sweeter Fuji apples are a deeper red. We should not press the apples too hard, and just snap it gently at the stem. Savanna did just that! Well done. The low hanging branches made it easy for picking too. Savanna: Wow! I can do it. The apples are red! Hmmmmm… Juicy!

We walked back to Gojo campus singing our favourite song… The Ants Go Marching. The chilly air did not dampen our spirits at all! We toured the campus on our own. Then, students from Grades 2 treated us with a humorous performance “The Enormous Turnip”. Savanna joined in to puuuuuuuull out the great turnip! Next, we had an Emoji Quiz with Grade 1. Savanna students gamely joined in and emoted the many expressions well. Fantastic job! With Shooting Star, we played the game Rock, Scissors, Paper… the train way! After a fun, busy morning, we settled down for a well-deserved bento lunch.

This week, Savanna decorated our ISN Christmas tree. Oh what fun we had! Baubles, tinsel streamers, bells, bows and ribbons all glittery and bright! We practised our Christmas play, songs and danced for the other students too. Another happy, busy week! So till next week, have a lovely weekend.
