Dear Parents and friends,
This week, we had our Open Day, and the children were very excited to welcome their parents into the classroom. We started the session with a short circle time where everyone gathered together happily. After that, we briefly introduced our current Unit topic and explained the activity that both students and parents would do together.
We wanted to choose an activity that would encourage communication and interaction between parents and children, so we decided on a “sharing our likes” activity. Parents and children asked each other questions and shared their answers before pasting them on the provided paper.
After completing the activity, each family had a chance to present their work in front of everyone. It was wonderful to see the children confidently sharing their ideas and the parents actively participating as well. We also encouraged the parents to present in English, giving them an opportunity to practice speaking while supporting their children’s learning.
The classroom was filled with smiles, excitement, and meaningful conversations. Thank you to all the parents who joined us and made the Open Day such a special experience for the children.
保護者の皆様、そしてご友人の皆様へ
今週はオープンデーがあり、子どもたちは保護者の皆様をお迎えできることをとても楽しみにしていました。まずは、皆で短いサークルタイムを楽しむことから始めました。その後、現在取り組んでいるのユニットについて簡単に紹介し、子どもたちと保護者の皆様が一緒に取り組むアクティビティについて説明しました。
保護者の皆様と子どもたちのコミュニケーションと交流を促すアクティビティを選びたいと考え、「好きなものをシェアしよう」というアクティビティを実施しました。保護者の皆様と子どもたちは互いに質問し合い、答えを共有した後、用意された用紙に貼り付けました。
アクティビティ終了後、各ご家庭で作品を発表する機会を設けました。子どもたちが自信を持って自分の考えを発表し、保護者の皆様も積極的に参加する姿は、大変素晴らしいものでした。保護者の皆様には英語で発表していただくようお願いし、お子様の学習をサポートしながら、英語での会話練習の機会も提供しました。
教室は笑顔と興奮、そして有意義な会話で満ち溢れていました。オープンデーにご参加いただき、子どもたちにとって特別な体験となるようご協力いただいたすべての保護者の皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。
Bus Trip May 28, 2026 （2026年5月28日 遠足）
We were blessed with wonderful weather for our exciting bus trip to the park. The students looked very happy and prepared as they arrived at school carrying their big backpacks and all the things they needed for the day. Everyone was full of excitement and curiosity as we headed to the park, asking many questions and eagerly looking forward to the adventure ahead.
We were very proud of our students for showing that they were Principled by listening carefully to the teachers’ instructions and following the safety rules throughout the trip. Their good behavior made the outing enjoyable and safe for everyone.
At the park, the students had a blast playing in the water fountain and cooling their bodies in the flowing water. Their laughter and smiles filled the area as they enjoyed playing together with their friends. After the fun water play, everyone was excited to eat the delicious lunch prepared by their parents. The children happily shared stories while enjoying their meals together.
After lunch, the students still had extra time to run and play freely on the lawn. It was wonderful to see them enjoying nature, building friendships, and making happy memories together. Everyone had a fantastic day filled with fun, laughter, and learning experiences.
芳川公園へのバス旅行は、素晴らしい天候に恵まれました。生徒たちは大きなリュックサックに必要なものをすべて詰め込み、学校に到着すると、とても嬉しそうで、準備万端といった様子でした。公園へ向かう途中、みんなワクワクと好奇心に満ち溢れ、たくさんの質問をしたり、これから始まる冒険を心待ちにしていました。
生徒たちは先生の指示をしっかり聞き、安全ルールを守るなど、規律正しい行動を示してくれました。おかげで、みんなにとって楽しく安全な遠足となりました。
公園では、生徒たちは噴水で遊んだり、流れる水で体を冷やしたりして、大はしゃぎでした。友達と遊ぶ子どもたちの笑い声と笑顔が辺り一面に響き渡りました。楽しい水遊びの後は、保護者の皆さんが用意してくれたおいしいランチをみんなで楽しみました。子どもたちは食事をしながら、楽しそうに話に花を咲かせました。
ランチの後も、生徒たちは芝生で自由に走り回って遊ぶ時間がありました。彼らが自然を満喫し、友情を育み、楽しい思い出を共に作っている姿を見ることができて、本当に素晴らしかったです。皆、楽しさと笑い、そして学びに満ちた素晴らしい一日を過ごしました。
