Hello! We’re excited to share some wonderful moments from our class this week.

Our students proudly presented their family pictures in class, creating a meaningful opportunity to share and connect with one another. Each child talked about who the members of their family are, how many people are in their family, and described special details about their photos, such as where and when they were taken. Some shared joyful moments from holidays or family trips, while others spoke about simple but special times spent at home. Through this activity, the students not only practiced their speaking and listening skills but also developed a deeper understanding and appreciation of the similarities and differences among their families. It was a heartwarming experience that helped build confidence, respect, and a strong sense of community within the class.

After the presentation, the students participated in an activity where they mingled with their friends, showed their family pictures, and looked at their friends’ pictures as well. They compared whether their families were the same as or different from one another. Afterward, we had a discussion where they shared their thoughts and opinions. Some students said their families were the same as their friends’ because they had the same number of family members, while others said they were similar because both included grandparents. On the other hand, some students shared that their families were different from their friends’ families because their parents were different. This activity encouraged the children to observe, compare, and express their ideas while appreciating the diversity of families.

In our phonics lesson, the students practiced recognizing uppercase and lowercase letters from M to R and learned their corresponding sounds. For the activity, each child picked a picture and confidently presented it in front of the class. They identified the first lowercase letter of the word, said its sound, named the picture, and then matched it with its uppercase letter. The students were engaged and eager to participate, showing growing confidence in their letter recognition and phonics skills while having fun learning together.

Our Shooting Star students had such a fun and exciting first music lesson as they were introduced to the pianica for the very first time! The classroom was filled with smiles and laughter as the children eagerly explored their new instrument. They learned how to hold the pianica, blow gently, and press the keys to create their very first sounds. Some giggled at the funny noises, while others were so proud to play their notes. Even though it was all new to them, they showed great enthusiasm and confidence in trying something different. It was a joyful and memorable experience that marked the beginning of their musical journey, and we can’t wait to see their skills grow in the coming lessons!
