Hello, everyone!
We had the opportunity to visit Agatagaoka High School for a special collaboration. To add more excitement to our visit, everybody agreed on one rule — an “English-Only Policy.” The Rainforest students learned a lot and had so much fun participating in various engaging activities, such as observing English and Geography classes, making name tags, reading English books, and drawing. Before eating lunch, they even helped clean up the classrooms, showing their thoughtfulness and cooperation. Then, they enjoyed lunch with the high school students. Their hearts were full of joy as they received a special present from them! To show our appreciation for their very warm welcome, our class said, “Thank you” and “We love you,” and presented them with a handmade bouquet of flowers. It was a wonderful day filled with learning, friendship, and fun memories that our students will treasure for a long time!

先週は特別なコラボレーションのために県ヶ丘高校を訪問しました。今回の訪問をさらにワクワクするものにするために、みんなでひとつのルールを決めました。それは「Speak English only」です。
Rainforestさん達は、英語や地理の授業を見学したり、高校生のお兄さん、お姉さんたちと一緒に自分たちの名札を作ったり、英語の本を読んでもらったり、絵を描いたりと、さまざまな楽しい活動に参加しながら、たくさんのことを学びました。昼食の前には教室のお掃除を手伝い、掃除の仕方や、思いやりや協力する姿を学びました。その後はお楽しみのお弁当タイム！お兄さんお姉さんたちと一緒に机を囲み、美味しそうにお弁当を食べていました。高校生たちは可愛らしいRainforestさん達にメロメ♡最後は一人一人に素敵なプレゼントもいただき、子どもたちの心は喜びでいっぱいになりました！
温かく迎えてくださった感謝の気持ちを込めて、クラスのみんなで「ありがとう」「大好きです」と伝え、手作りの花束をプレゼントしました。学びと友情、そして楽しい思い出がたくさん詰まった、子どもたちの心に長く残る素晴らしい一日となりました。
We had a joyful birthday celebration altogether! The kids sang happy songs for the birthday student and played a fun game, laughing and cheering all the way. Everyone enjoyed this special moment, making it a really happy and memorable day!
今週は、キャンパスみんなでお誕生日会をしました。お誕生日のお友だちに向けて歌をうたい、楽しいゲームをして、笑顔と歓声があふれるひとときとなりました。
みんなで特別な時間を分かち合い、とても幸せで思い出に残る一日になりました。
Right after our birthday celebration, we had an unannounced earthquake drill! We wanted to see how the students would react when they heard the alarm. The children stayed calm, followed instructions carefully, and practiced moving safely to their designated spots. It was a great way for everyone to learn and be prepared while staying confident and safe.
お誕生日会の直後には、予告なしの地震避難訓練を行いました。子どもたちがアラームを聞いたときにどのように行動するかを確認するためです。
みんな落ち着いて行動し、指示をしっかりと守りながら、安全に決められた場所に避難することが出来ました。災害はいつどこで起こるかわかりません。子ども達は、建物2階から非常階段を使って安全に避難する方法を学びました。
We have started practicing for our graduation ceremony, and the excitement in the classroom is truly wonderful! Everybody is determined and very passionate about what they are doing, from singing the songs beautifully to preparing their bell performance. They are also carefully practicing how to walk on stage and receive their certificates with confidence and pride. It is amazing to see the students working together, supporting one another, and putting so much effort into making this special day unforgettable.
クラスでは、卒園式の練習を本格的に始めました。みんなが目標に向かってやる気を出し、歌をきれいに歌うことからベル演奏の準備まで、それぞれの役割に情熱を注いでいることがわかります。ステージ上で、卒業証書を受け取る練習も丁寧に重ねています。子どもたちが協力し合い、支え合いながら、この特別な日を忘れられないものにするために全力を尽くす姿は感動的です。
HINAMATSURI CRAFT
3月3日は桃の節句。ミュージックレッスンで「うれしいひな祭り」の歌を歌っているので、Rainforestさん達は、雛飾りにはどんな人たちがいるのかよく知っていました。更に、ひなまつりに関するお話を見て、3月3日に食べるちらし寿司に入っている具のそれぞれ意味や、ひなあられの色の意味などを学びました。細かい作業が上手になったRainforestさん達は、粘土、絵具、はさみ、マーカー、折り紙など様々な道具を使ってひな人形を完成させました。雪の結晶を折り紙で作った要領で桃の花を切ったり、絵具とマーカーで可愛らしいお雛様のお顔を作ったり、次の工程にする度に自分たちで何の道具か必要かよく考えながらとりくみました。どれも可愛らしいお人形が出来て、素敵なひな祭りを迎えられそうですね。
