This week has been full of exciting experiences and learning opportunities!
今週も、子どもたちはたくさんの楽しい体験を通して、さまざまなことを学ぶことができました。
We enjoyed playing in the mud, exploring different textures and using our imaginations to create and discover together. The children had lots of fun getting messy and working cooperatively with their friends.
泥遊びでは、さまざまな感触を楽しみながら、想像力を働かせて友だちと一緒に作ったり発見したりして遊びました。子どもたちは泥の感触を存分に味わいながら、友だちと協力して楽しく活動することができました。
During our music session, we practiced playing the castanets and maracas. We listened carefully to the sounds and moved our bodies to the rhythm of the maracas. When the maracas were shaken slowly, we walked slowly. When the shaking became fast, we moved quickly around the room. As soon as the sound stopped, everyone had to freeze! The children showed excellent listening skills and enjoyed responding to the different rhythms.
音楽活動では、カスタネットやマラカスに親しみました。子どもたちは楽器の音に耳を傾けながら、マラカスのリズムに合わせて体を動かしました。マラカスの音がゆっくりのときはゆっくり歩き、速くなると元気よく動き回り、音が止まるとピタッと動きを止めることに挑戦しました。子どもたちは音をよく聞き分けながら、さまざまなリズムに楽しく反応する姿が見られました。
We also had our medical and dental check-ups this week. The children prepared themselves excitedly, lined up carefully, and walked quietly and cautiously to meet the doctors. When it was their turn, they remained calm and still while the doctor used a stethoscope to listen to their heartbeat. The children demonstrated great patience, confidence, and cooperation throughout the check-ups.
今週は内科健診と歯科健診も行われました。子どもたちは順番を守って整列し、静かに健診へ向かいました。自分の番になると、落ち着いて診察を受け、聴診器で心音を確認してもらう際もじっとしていることができました。健診を通して、子どもたちは忍耐強く待つ姿や、自信をもって取り組む姿、そして協力的な態度を見せてくれました。
During our gym session, the children practiced their balance and coordination skills. They worked on controlling their movements while balancing in different ways, requiring concentration and careful body awareness.
ジムの活動では、バランス感覚や体の使い方を意識した運動を楽しみました。子どもたちはさまざまな方法でバランスを取りながら体を動かし、集中して取り組む姿が見られました。活動を通して、バランス能力や協調性を育むことができました。
Another exciting learning experience was a presentation about Ghana. The children listened attentively and observed carefully as they learned about Ghanaian games, toy and food and how far Japan is from Ghana. They made meaningful connections between new information and their existing knowledge. the following days, one child was inspired to bring a map book of Japan to share with the class, The children were particularly interested to discover similarities between some Ghanaian foods and foods they are familiar with, such as curry and rice.
また、ガーナについてのプレゼンテーションも行われ、子どもたちにとって興味深い学びの機会となりました。子どもたちは話をよく聞き、資料を注意深く見ながら、ガーナの遊びやおもちゃ、食べ物、そして日本との距離について学びました。新しく知ったこととこれまでの知識を結び付けながら、理解を深める姿が見られました。
プレゼンテーションの後には、ガーナと日本の位置関係に興味をもち、日本の地図の本をクラスで紹介してくれたお友だちもいました。また、ガーナの食べ物の中に、子どもたちがよく知っているカレーライスに似た料理があることを知り、親しみを感じながら学びを広げていました。異なる文化に触れながらも共通点を見つけることで、子どもたちの国際的な視野や探究心が育まれる貴重な機会となりました。
It has been a wonderful week filled with exploration, music, movement, and learning about other other cultures and the importance of staying healthy. We are very proud of how the children embraced new experiences while continuing to develop their confidence, responsibility, and self-management skills.
今週も、探究や音楽、運動、異文化への理解、健康についての学びなど、多くの経験を通して充実した時間を過ごしました。子どもたちは新しいことに前向きに挑戦しながら、自信や責任感、自己管理能力を少しずつ身につけています。日々成長する子どもたちの姿をとても頼もしく感じています。
