🐔 Continuing Our Animal Inquiry

Hello, dear parents and friends!

We welcomed the new month by continuing our inquiry about animals. Our students were excited to check on their chickens each morning. They quickly noticed when their hens needed more food or water and eagerly took care of them after unpacking their bags.

The next day, some children were surprised to find eggs in the nests! They began to understand the give-and-take relationship between people and animals, sharing their thoughts: “I fed them!” and “I gave them water!”

Through this hands-on experience, our students are gradually developing their understanding of what it means to share the planet and care for animals. 🐔🥚💛

Meeting Chiko

We also had a wonderful opportunity to meet Chiko, Ms. Sayuri’s pet bird. The children were very excited to welcome her into our classroom! Ms. Sayuri shared about Chiko, including how she takes care of her and what she needs to live.

Our students were Open-minded as they observed, asked questions, and gently touched Chiko. Some children were a little afraid at first, but they showed that they were Risk-takers by bravely giving it a try. It was a lovely hands-on experience that helped them deepen their understanding of how people care for animals.

☀️ Enjoying the Changing Season

The hot summer days are slowly coming to an end, and we enjoyed a more comfortable week together. Our students enjoyed both indoor and outdoor activities. They could move and play comfortably indoors without getting too sweaty, even during our active gym lesson. Outside, they also enjoyed playing in the slightly cooler weather with a gentle breeze. It was wonderful to see them happily enjoying the changing season! 😊

“Exploring the Alphabet I”
Aurora explored the letter I and the different words that begin with this letter. We first learned the /i/ sound through words such as insect, igloo, iguana, and ink. We then discovered the /ai/ sound in words like ice cream, icicle, iron, and island.

After our phonics activity, the children practiced tracing the letter I. We carefully observed how to trace each line and how to hold the crayon correctly. Most of our friends showed good pencil-grasping skills and were able to trace the letter I very well.

Everyone worked hard and did their best! Well done, Aurora! Keep up the great work! 🌟👏

Thank you for this week.
Have a fantastic weekend
