Greetings!
This week, we introduced more class helper roles as we began our Line of Inquiry 3, which focuses on the different ways people help and work together in groups. The children have been excited to take on new responsibilities, including being the morning and closing routine helper, line leader, lunch helper, and snack helper. Through these roles, students are learning the importance of cooperation, responsibility, and contributing to the class community. These opportunities also help build their confidence and encourage them to support one another throughout the day.

今週は、LOI 3「グループの中での助け合いの方法」がスタートし、新しいクラスヘルパーの役割を取り入れました♪子どもたちは、朝と帰りの会のお手伝い、ラインリーダー、ランチヘルパー、スナックヘルパーなど、さまざまな役割に嬉しそうに取り組んでいます😊
活動を通して、「みんなで協力すること」や「自分の役割に責任を持つこと」、そしてクラスの仲間として助け合うことの大切さを少しずつ学んでいます。また、お友だちをサポートしたり、自分でできることに挑戦したりする中で、子どもたちの自信もどんどん育っている様子が見られました✨
In our Unit of Inquiry this week, we participated in a Friendship Web activity to explore how we help and support one another in our classroom community. Each student had the opportunity to share with the class how they help others by completing the sentence, “I help my class by _________.” After sharing, they passed a ball of yarn to another friend, who then shared their own way of helping the class. At the end of the activity, the students created a web with the yarn and were able to see how everyone is connected and plays an important role in our classroom community. This meaningful activity encouraged students to reflect on their contributions, recognize the importance of teamwork, and appreciate the different ways everyone can help and support one another.
今週のUOIでは、クラスの中でみんながどんなふうに助け合っているのかを考える「Friendship Web（フレンドシップウェブ）」を行いました♪子どもたちは、「I help my class by _________（私は〇〇をしてクラスを助けています）」という文を使って、自分がどのようにお友だちやクラスの役に立っているかを発表しました。発表したら、毛糸を持ったまま次のお友だちへ渡していき、みんなで協力して大きな“つながりの輪”を作りました。完成した毛糸のウェブを見ながら、「みんながクラスの大切な一員であること」や、「お互いに支え合っていること」を感じることができました😊
この活動を通して、子どもたちは自分の役割について振り返りながら、協力することの大切さや、一人ひとりが違った形でクラスを支えていることを楽しく学ぶことができました✨
This week, our campus held a special evacuation drill to help prepare students, teachers, and parents for emergency situations. The purpose of the drill was to provide everyone with an opportunity to practice safety procedures and learn what to do in the event of an emergency. Students listened carefully to instructions, followed evacuation procedures, and worked together to ensure a safe and orderly process. Through this important training, everyone gained a better understanding of how to respond calmly and safely during an emergency.
今週は、もしもの時のために、緊急引き渡し訓練をキャンパス全体で行いました。今回の訓練では、子どもたち、先生、保護者の皆さまが、安全に避難する方法や緊急時の行動について確認しました。子どもたちは先生の話をしっかり聞きながら、落ち着いて避難の流れに参加することができました。また、お友だちと協力しながら、安全に行動する姿も見られました。今回の大切な経験を通して、緊急時には「落ち着いて行動すること」や「安全を守ること」の大切さを学ぶことができました。
This week was a special experience for our class as it was our first time walking to the park together. The students were very excited and did a wonderful job following safety rules along the way. They stayed with their group, listened carefully to their teachers, and showed responsibility while walking. At the park, the children enjoyed exploring the environment, observing nature, and spending time with their friends. It was a fun and memorable outing that helped build their confidence and independence while strengthening our classroom community.
今週は、Shootin Starクラスになって初めて歩いて公園へ行きました♪ 子どもたちはとても楽しみにしていて、道中も安全のお約束をしっかり守りながら歩くことができました。お友だちと一緒に行動し、先生のお話をよく聞きながら、責任を持って歩く姿がたくさん見られました😊公園では、自然に触れたり周りを観察したりしながら、お友だちとのびのび楽しい時間を過ごしました。子どもたちの自信や自立心が育つとともに、クラスの仲もさらに深まる素敵な経験となりました✨
