We had another wonderful week of learning, exploring, and enjoying the beautiful weather in Aurora class!

オーロラ・クラスでは、学びや探求、そして素晴らしいお天気のもとでの時間を楽しむ、また素敵な一週間を過ごしました！
🔤 Letter Jj （アルファベット-J)
This week, we learned about the letter Jj, its sound, and words that begin with J. We explored words such as jam, jet, jelly, jellyfish, and jaguar, along with other J words. The children practiced recognizing the letter and its sound through fun activities. They also enjoyed tracing the letter J using their bodies and making a J gesture. It was a fun and active way to help them remember the shape of the letter!
今週は、アルファベット「Jj」とその音、そして「J」で始まる単語について学びました。jam（ジャム）、jet（ジェット機）、jelly（ゼリー）、jellyfish（クラゲ）、jaguar（ジャガー）といった単語や、その他の「J」の単語を取り上げました。子供たちは楽しいアクティビティを通じて、文字の形や音を認識する練習をしました。また、体を使って「J」の形をなぞったり、「J」のジェスチャーを作ったりすることも楽しみました。文字の形を覚えるための、楽しくて活気あふれる学習の時間となりました！
🌳 A Walk to the Park （公園への散歩）
The lovely weather gave us a wonderful opportunity to walk to the park. The children were excited to spend time outdoors, enjoying the slide and chasing each other as they played. It was lovely to see them having fun, being active, and enjoying time together.
On our way back to school, we passed by the bridge and looked into the water to see if we could find any fish. Although we did not see any fish that day, the children became enthusiastic communicators, sharing what they knew about animals that live in the water. Their conversations showed how their experiences and curiosity continue to connect with our animal inquiry.
天気に恵まれ、公園まで歩いて出かける素晴らしい機会に恵まれました。子供たちは外で過ごすことに大喜びで、滑り台を楽しんだり、追いかけっこをしたりして遊びました。子供たちが元気に体を動かし、楽しそうに一緒に過ごす姿を見るのは、とても素敵なことでした。
学校へ戻る途中、橋のそばを通った際に、魚がいるかどうか水の中を覗いてみました。その日は魚の姿を見つけることはできませんでしたが、子供たちは水辺の生き物について知っていることを互いに話し合い、熱心に言葉を交わしていました。そうした会話からは、子供たちの経験や好奇心が、私たちが取り組んでいるUOIの探求「動物」と結びついている様子が伺えました。
🐆 Fast and Slow Animals （動きの早い動物、遅い動物）
We also deepened our inquiry about animals by exploring the idea that animals move at different speeds. Before watching a video about fast and slow animals, we began with a fun provocation using a mystery box.
One by one, the children closed their eyes, reached into the box, and discovered an animal. They then thought about whether the animal was fast or slow and placed it into the corresponding basket. This activity encouraged them to make predictions and share their ideas.
Afterward, we watched a video about fast and slow animals. As we paused the video, the children guessed whether each animal was fast or slow. Drawing on their own experiences and prior knowledge, many children were able to make thoughtful guesses and explain their ideas. It was wonderful to see them becoming confident thinkers and communicators as they explored how animals move.
私たちは、動物によって動く速さが異なるという点に着目し、動物についての探究をさらに深めました。動きの速い動物や遅い動物を紹介する動画を見る前に、まずは「ミステリーボックス」を使った楽しい導入の活動を行いました。
子供たちは一人ずつ目を閉じ、箱の中に手を入れて動物のフィギュアを取り出しました。そして、その動物の動きが速いか遅いかを考え、それぞれの特徴に合ったバスケットに分類していきました。この活動は、子供たちが予測を立てたり、自分の考えを共有したりすることを促すものとなりました。
その後、動きの速い動物や遅い動物に関する動画を視聴しました。動画を途中で一時停止し、それぞれの動物が速いのか遅いのかを予想し合いました。子供たちは、自身の経験やこれまでに得た知識を活かしながら、よく考えた上で予想を立て、自分の考えを言葉にして説明することができていました。動物の動きについて探究する中で、子供たちが自信を持って考え、自分の思いを伝えられるようになっていく姿は、見ていて本当に素晴らしいものでした。
🏃♀️ Sports Festival (スポーツフェスティバル）
Our long-awaited Sports Festival finally arrived, and it was a wonderful day filled with excitement, smiles, and proud moments!
The children were excited to show their parents and families what they had been practicing. They confidently performed their class dance and participated in the races, giving their best effort in front of everyone.
The students also enjoyed cheering for their parents during the family games, as well as supporting other classes during their races and performances. Watching the older students perform inspired our children and made them think, “We can do that, too!” It was lovely to see them looking forward to growing, learning, and performing like the older children.
It was especially heartwarming to see them perform with confidence and joy in front of their families. Their hard work, courage, and enthusiasm made the day truly special.

待ちに待った運動会の日がついにやってきました！興奮と笑顔、そして誇らしい瞬間に満ちた、素晴らしい一日となりました。
子供たちは、これまで練習してきた成果を保護者やご家族の皆様に披露できることをとても楽しみにしていました。クラスごとのダンスやでは、自信を持って堂々と演技や競技に取り組み、皆の前で精一杯の力を発揮しました。
また、家族参加の競技では保護者の方々を一生懸命応援したり、他のクラスの競技や演技にも声援を送ったりして楽しむ姿も見られました。年上の子供たちの演技を見て刺激を受け、「私たちもあんなふうにできるんだ！」と目を輝かせる場面もありました。彼らが将来、年上の子供たちのように成長し、学び、活躍する姿を楽しみにしている様子は、見ていてとても微笑ましいものでした。
特に、ご家族の前で自信と喜びに満ちた表情で演技する姿には、胸が熱くなりました。子供たちの努力、勇気、そして熱意が、この日を本当に特別なものにしてくれました。
オーロラさん、私たちはみんなのことをとても誇りに思います！素晴らしい演技を披露し、運動会を心に残る一日にしてくれて、本当にありがとう！ 🌟❤️
