RAINBOW:From hats to shoes: clothes galore!(August 17th-21st)

Hi everyone! Welcome to Rainbow’s third blog of the month.The highlight of our week was our birthday party! The whole school gathered in the music room to celebrate the birthdays of their fellow friends by singing and playing a game together. This month, the Milky Way homeroom teachers were in charge, and the game they prepared for us was so much fun!A very happy birthday to our dear S! We wish you lots of love, happiness, growth, and good health in the year ahead. 💛

今週一番のイベントはお誕生日会！
8月生まれのお友だちのお誕生日を、みんなで歌ったりゲームをしたりしながらお祝いしました。Milky Wayクラスの先生たちが、夏にちなんだ2択クイズを用意してくれて、子どもたちも大盛り上がりでした♪

Sくん、3歳のお誕生日おめでとう💛
これからの1年が、たくさんの愛と幸せに包まれ、健やかに成長できる素敵な1年になりますように！

CLOTHES TOPIC

During our daily afternoon circle time lessons, all of our Rainbow friends eagerly recited the names of different clothes as part of our monthly topic. They also tried to remember these words and say them aloud as they undressed to put on their mud play clothes or water play gear, and vice versa. Their ability to absorb and retain information so quickly is truly astounding. We have a class full of COMMUNICATORS,REFLECTIVE learners and THINKERS.

今月のテーマにちなみ、Rainbowのお友だちみんなでさまざまな衣服の名前を元気いっぱいに言う練習をしています。

泥遊びの服や水遊びの準備をするときには、覚えた言葉を思い出して言ってみたり、先生と一緒に衣服の名前を確認してみたり。

新しい言葉をどんどん吸収し、覚えていく子どもたちの姿には、本当に驚かされます！
Rainbowには、コミュニケーター（COMMUNICATORS）、振り返りができる人（REFLECTIVE）、そして考える人（THINKERS）がたくさんいます！

PREPARING FOR THE SPORTS FESTIVAL

This week, our gym teacher wasn’t available and won’t be until the heat subsides. However, we still went to the gym to practise for our big day! For most of us, this will be the very first big event we participate in since starting our preschool journey, so it’s a very big deal!

今月は通常のジムレッスンはありませんでしたが、今週は体育館へ行き、みんなでスポーツフェスティバルに向けて練習をしました！

今回のイベントは、多くの子どもたちにとって、スクール生活が始まってから初めて参加する大きな行事です。そのため、子どもたちにとっても特別で、とても大切なイベントです！

本番に向けて、楽しみながら練習に取り組んでいきます✨

EXPERIMENTING WITH CRAFT MATERIALS

As part of our Sports Festival preparations we enjoyed making fingeprints on craft paper and ripping apart soft paper into strips.It was a good chance for us to refine ou fine motor skills.

スポーツフェスティバルに向けた準備の一環として、今週はクラフトペーパーに指スタンプをしたり、やわらかい紙を細長くちぎったりして楽しみました！

指先を使ったさまざまな活動を通して、楽しみながら微細運動能力（fine motor skills）を養う良い機会となりました。

子どもたちは、指先を上手に使いながら、「ぼくもやりたい！」「もっとやりたい！」と夢中になって取り組んでいました！どんなクラフトが出来上がるのか、お楽しみに♡

THE WEEK AHEAD

Next week will be our final week of inquiring into the topic of clothes, so we plan to make it count! We also look forward to celebrating both the big and small steps we continue to take as we grow and develop at our own individual paces.
