Our Trip to Nakano Campus

This week, we visited Nakano Campus and spent time exploring the beautiful nature around the school. The students enjoyed riding the bus, exploring the campus, and seeing the elementary classrooms. We also had time to play and investigate outdoors in the large schoolyard and nearby nature areas.

As part of our UOI learning, the students explored nature while thinking about what they want to protect and care for. They observed insects, plants, frogs, and many other living things while discussing why nature is important. The students were excited to discover different creatures and enjoyed sharing their observations with each other.

The goal of this activity was to help students connect what we have been learning about the 3Rs to the real world around them. Through hands-on exploration, the students began thinking more deeply about how our actions can help protect nature and the environment.

今週は中野キャンパスへ行き、学校の周りの自然を探究しました。子どもたちはバスに乗ることを楽しみながら、キャンパス内を見学したり、小学部の教室を見たりしました。また、広い校庭や自然の中でたくさん遊びながら探究活動も行いました。

UOIの活動では、「自分たちは何を守りたいか」ということを考えながら自然を観察しました。虫や植物、カエルなど、さまざまな生き物を見つけながら、自然の大切さについて話し合いました。子どもたちは発見したことを嬉しそうに共有していました。

この活動の目的は、これまで学んできた３Rの考えを、実際の自然と結びつけて考えることでした。実際に自然に触れることで、自分たちの行動が環境を守ることにつながるということを少しずつ理解し始めています。

Making Our Own Recycling Bins

Today, we continued our UOI learning by talking about recycling and thinking about what we can do at school to help the environment. During our discussion, the students shared many ideas about how we can recycle and reduce waste in the classroom.

As a class, we decided to create our own recycling bins by reusing cardboard boxes. The students worked together to paint and decorate the boxes, turning old materials into something useful for our classroom.

This activity helped the students see that recycling is not only something we talk about, but also something we can put into action in our daily lives. The students showed creativity, teamwork, and responsibility while creating something meaningful together.

今日はUOIの活動の中で、リサイクルについてさらに話し合い、「学校で自分たちにできること」を考えました。子どもたちは、教室でどのようにゴミを減らしたり、リサイクルしたりできるかについて、たくさんのアイデアを出していました。

クラスでは、使わなくなった段ボール箱を再利用して、自分たちのリサイクルボックスを作ることに決めました。子どもたちは協力しながら箱に色を塗ったり飾り付けをしたりして、古いものを新しい形で役立てる体験をしました。

この活動を通して、リサイクルはただ学ぶだけではなく、実際に行動に移すことが大切だということを感じることができました。子どもたちは創造力や協力する力、そして責任感を見せながら活動に取り組んでいました。
