Hello everyone!

The summer heat is in full swing, and the humidity continues to rise. As temperatures get warmer, we are taking extra care to keep the children cool, hydrated, and safe while enjoying their daily activities.

This week, we began exploring the fascinating world of sea animals, our monthly theme. Using flashcards, videos, and sea-animal toys, the kids observed, identified, and matched various sea creatures while building their vocabulary and communication skills.

The kids learned through hands-on exploration and collaboration. While some found the matching activity a little challenging at first, they showed resilience and worked together, encouraging and helping one another. Through teamwork, curiosity, and inquiry, the children gradually built their confidence and celebrated their learning together.

夏の暑さが本格化し、湿度も高まり続けています。気温が上がるにつれ、子どもたちが日々の活動を楽しみながら、涼しく、水分を十分に摂り、安全に過ごせるよう、特に気を配っています。

今週は、今月のテーマである「海の生き物」の魅力的な世界を探求し始めました。フラッシュカードや動画、海の生き物のおもちゃを使って、子どもたちはさまざまな海の生き物を観察し、識別し、組み合わせながら、語彙力やコミュニケーション能力を伸ばしました。

子どもたちは、実際に手を動かして探求し、協力し合うことで学びを深めました。最初はマッチングの活動に少し戸惑う子もいましたが、粘り強く取り組み、互いに励まし合い、助け合いながら協力しました。チームワーク、好奇心、探究心を通じて、子どもたちは徐々に自信をつけ、一緒に学びの成果を喜び合いました。

This week, the children enjoyed creating colorful sea animal artworks such as fish, starfish, turtles, crabs, and seahorses by tearing and sticking soft, colorful paper. They chose what kind of sea animal they wanted to make. This hands-on activity encouraged creativity while strengthening fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and finger muscles.

We learn through exploration and practice. Tearing the paper was a little challenging for some, but they persevered and kept trying their best. With each attempt, they strengthened the small muscles in their hands and built confidence, reminding us that every challenge is an opportunity to grow.

今週、子どもたちは、柔らかく色鮮やかな紙をちぎって貼り付けることで、魚、ヒトデ、カメ、カニ、タツノオトシゴなど、色とりどりの海の生き物の作品作りを楽しみました。どの海の生き物を作るかは、各自で選びました。この体験型アクティビティは、創造性を育むと同時に、微細運動能力、手と目の協調性、指の筋肉を鍛えることにもつながりました。

私たちは探求と実践を通じて学びます。紙をちぎるのは、子どもによっては少し難しかったようですが、みんな粘り強く、最善を尽くして挑戦し続けました。挑戦を重ねるごとに、手の細かい筋肉が鍛えられ、自信もついていきました。どんな課題も成長の機会であることを、改めて実感させてくれました。
