As we begin our new Unit of Inquiry, International Culture, Traditions, and Language, our students have been exploring the wonderful diversity of the world! This week, we started by learning about the different continents, countries, and their national flags. Students were then divided into teams, with each group choosing a country to research and discover its unique cultural features, traditions, and characteristics. Through these activities, students began to develop a deeper understanding of the similarities and differences between countries and continents, while learning to appreciate the diversity of cultures around the world.
新しい探究ユニット「国際文化・伝統・言語（International Culture, Traditions, and Language）」が始まり、子どもたちは世界の多様性について楽しく学んでいます！今週は、世界のさまざまな大陸や国々、そしてそれぞれの国旗について学ぶことからスタートしました。その後、子どもたちはグループに分かれ、それぞれ興味のある国を一つ選び、その国ならではの文化や伝統、特徴について調べ学習を始めました。これらの活動を通して、国や大陸ごとの共通点や違いについて理解を深めるとともに、世界の多様な文化を知り、互いの違いを尊重する大切さを学んでいます。
Meanwhile, excitement is building as we prepare for one of the biggest annual events at ISN Nakano Campus—our Christmas Performance Day in December! We gathered our students to brainstorm ideas, share their creativity, and discuss the storyline and characters for our upcoming play. Everyone was enthusiastic about contributing their ideas, and we have already put together our first draft! Here is a little sneak peek at what we have been planning. There is still plenty of work ahead, but we are looking forward to bringing our students’ imagination and creativity to life on stage. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
また、ISN中野キャンパスで毎年12月に開催される一大イベント、クリスマス発表会（Performance Day） に向けた準備も少しずつ始まっています！
今週は子どもたちと一緒にアイデアを出し合い、劇のストーリーや登場人物について話し合いました。子どもたちは自分のアイデアを積極的に共有し、楽しみながら話し合いに参加していました。そして、ついに劇の最初の構成案が完成しました！
今回は、その計画の一部を少しだけ皆さまにご紹介します。これから本番に向けてまだまだ準備が続きますが、子どもたちの豊かな想像力と創造力が舞台の上でどのように表現されるのか、今からとても楽しみです！
