Hello wonderful parents and friends,
This week, we started with a wonderful birthday party celebration. Everyone was excited to gather together in the music room to celebrate this month’s birthday celebrants. The children warmly sang the birthday song and happily cheered for their friends. We then enjoyed a fun activity led by the Milky Way teachers. The students had a blast participating in the games and activities, and their smiles and laughter filled the room with joy. It was a lovely way to begin the week together! Yo our birthday boy, Happy birthday, keep going and keep shining!

Exploring the Letter B
This week, we learned about the Letter B and its sound. We first asked the students what words they knew that begin with the /B/ sound, and they excitedly shared their ideas. We introduced B sounds such as ball, butterfly, boat, bat, bicycle, bee, and many more using flashcards to help them recognize the sound and connect it with familiar words and pictures.
The students also enjoyed a fun body movement activity where they traced the shape of the Letter B using their bodies. They had so much fun moving and learning at the same time! To continue the excitement and help the students use up their energy, we played another interactive game. The children made a circle and passed around the flashcards while the music played. When the music stopped, the students had to find the matching pair of their flashcards and confidently say the name of the picture.
The students showed that they were Knowledgeable as they correctly identified and named the words while proudly showing the complete pictures to their friends and teachers. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and growing confidence in learning new sounds and vocabulary.

Exploring the Park Together
We had a wonderful walk as we explored the park together. The students enjoyed getting refreshed while observing the things around them and recalling the important safety rules for walking and crossing the road. They carefully practiced looking around, staying with the group, and listening to the teachers’ instructions.
Our students showed that they were Thinkers by remembering what they should do to keep themselves safe while walking, especially when crossing the road. It was lovely to see them becoming more aware and responsible during our outdoor exploration.

This week, we continued our inquiry into LoI 2: “We play in different ways.” Through group games and classroom activities, the students explored how play helps us make friends, share ideas, and have fun together.
As part of our inquiry, the students worked in groups to play with blocks. They showed that they were Caring and Open-minded by using kind words, helping their friends, and working cooperatively while building. The children discovered that while making their own creations was fun, it was even more enjoyable to connect their work with their friends’ creations to make one wonderful masterpiece together.
Through these activities, the students practiced teamwork, sharing, and communication while building friendships and learning how to respect and care for one another.

We would also like to remind parents about our upcoming Open Day on Monday, May 25th. We are excited to welcome you to our classroom and let you see the students’ learning and activities. Thank you for your continuous support, and we look forward to seeing you!
Have a great weekend!
