Hello everyone! Welcome to this week’s blog!
SCHOOL OPEN DAY
We had our first Open Day in the Shooting Star Class as part of our Family Day celebration! We showed our beloved parents how much their children have grown. The children can now help lead the class through their daily helper roles, share their own ideas in English, and think about and take action to help their school community.
It has only been two months since we started our class, but the growth of these little ones has been incredible!
To conclude our Open Day, we had a special tribute to the parents. The children sang a song entitled “Glowing Inside” and presented a special thank-you card to express their appreciation for their parents’ love, support, and daily help.
今週はShooting Starクラスになって初めてのオープンデーがありました♪お家の方々に、子どもたちのこの2か月の成長を見ていただく、とても特別な時間となりました。子どもたちは、毎日のクラスヘルパーの役割を通してクラスをリードしたり、自分の考えを英語で伝えたり、スクールコミュニティのために自分で考えて行動したりと、たくさんの姿を見せてくれました😊短い期間ですが、その成長には本当に驚かされます。参観の最後には、大好きなお家の方々に感謝の気持ちを込めて、“Glowing Inside” を心を込めて歌い、サンキューカードをプレゼントしました♡あたたかい愛情とサポートへの「ありがとう」を伝える、心温まるひとときとなりました✨

SAFETY TRAFFIC DRILL
This week, we had a Safety Traffic Drill. We welcomed visitors from City Hall, who explained the dos and don’ts of road safety, such as checking right, left, and right again before crossing and paying attention to traffic lights.
They also taught the children important safety rules, including always wearing a seatbelt, not unbuckling it by themselves, and holding a parent’s hand when walking near roads and even in parking lots. If they are unable to hold hands, they should hold onto a family member’s clothes or another item they are carrying. The children were also reminded to carry their own bags so that their parents can hold their hands while walking.
After the discussion, we practiced how to cross the road properly. Well done, Shooting Star!
今週は、交通安全について学ぶ「Safety Traffic Drill（交通安全訓練）」を行いました。市役所からゲストの方々をお迎えし、道路を渡るときの大切なルールについて教えていただきました。たとえば、「右・左・もう一度右を確認してから渡ること」や「信号をしっかり見ること」などです。
また、車に乗るとき、駐車場を歩く時の安全のために大切なことも教えていただきました。
・必ずシートベルトを着用すること
・自分で外さないこと
・道路や駐車場を歩くときは必ず大人と手をつなぐこと（もし手がつなげない場合は、洋服や持ち物につかまる）
・保護者が手をつなげるように、自分の荷物は自分で持つこと
お話の後は、実際に横断歩道の渡り方を練習しました🚶♀️🚶♂️みんなとてもよく話を聞き、安全に気をつけながら上手に取り組むことができました！よく頑張りました、Shooting Starのみんな✨
SWEET POTATO PLANTING
Last week, we had a wonderful time planting sweet potatoes. The children learned about how sweet potatoes grow and what plants need to stay healthy, such as sunlight, water, and good soil. They carefully planted the sweet potato seedlings in the garden and were excited to get their hands dirty while helping with the activity. It was a great opportunity for them to learn about nature, teamwork, and responsibility. We are looking forward to watching our sweet potatoes grow and harvesting them together in the future!
先週金曜日には、さつまいもの苗植えを楽しみました🍠✨子どもたちは、さつまいもがどのように育つのか、そして植物が元気に育つために必要な「太陽の光」「水」「よい土」について学びました。畑では、苗をそっと土に植えながら、手を土で固めながら嬉しそうに活動に参加する姿が見られました😊自然に触れることを通して、植物への興味を深めるとともに、友だちと協力することや責任を持って取り組むことの大切さも感じることができました。これからさつまいもがどのように育っていくのか、みんなで観察し、収穫の日を楽しみにしていきたいと思います✨
